We believe that the love of Christ must not only be preached but practically demonstrated through acts of compassion. One of the ways we live out this calling is through our Agricultural Program, a ministry dedicated to fighting hunger and restoring dignity among the poor, widows, orphans, and the homeless in our community.

The Umbrella of Hope through the expression of Christian love, seeks to understand the struggles of poverty, and is committed to working with families and individuals to provide help for the present and hope for the future.

The mission of this Umbrella of Hope ministry Is to assist low income, poor, marginalized families and individuals by providing for their physical needs.

UMBRELLA OF HOPE (HELP DEPARTMENT)

Food

We give food rations to the vulnerable and marginalized groups like street families etc. While giving out the Spiritual food to humanity, God reminds us not to forget their physical needs as well.

“And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.” GALATIANS 2:9,10.

Clothes

We also endeavor to provide clothes and basic necessities to the underprivileged both in the Church and entire community as need be depending on our resources. We welcome clothing donations as well as finances to purchase the same.

“ If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. JAMES 2:15-17
